Day after day
(Jour apres jour)
My photographs are instants of daily life, the essence of an instant when a look, an expression reveals itself.
My subjects are obvious and self-explanatory by their single presence. It may be a simple face, in its truth, telling a story by itself. I am also interested by fortuitous compositions made by elements accidentally creating meaningful compositions.
Afghanistan
Ocre everywhere.Encircled by mountains, Kabul the frenetic tries to find its breath in the middle of dust, armored jeeps and anonymous blue shades.
By wandering on the medieval streets, I think of the past, our past, and in time lost to construct the future.
Kabulis I meet seem themselves to get out of legendary time, where people were simple, honest and filled with hope for the next day…
